Shantilal Parekh has invested his entire life savings to buy an apartment. He shifts from a chawl to a high rise building with his wife Tara, two sons Amar and Raju and daughters-in-law Asha and Swati. Kanubhai is Shantilal's close friend who visits the family occasionally but this is not liked by the two sons. Differences in opinion result the family's seperation. Crisis in the share market and inflation compels the family to sell their apartment. The sons take advantage of the situation by forging their father's signature and Tara and Shantilal are left shattered and homeless. But eventually as luck would have it, fate teaches Shantilal's sons a lesson and they are re-united with their family. Originally written by Pravin Shantaram, the play has been adapted by Pravin Solanki.
